Guide for using Android Smartphones based on MT65XX / MT8XXX

1. You use the latest version of Sigma software.

2. Battery charged more than 50%.

3. All the side programs, that may interfere with the phone, are closed.

4. Phone’s cable and device itself should not be disconnected or disturbed until the procedure is fully completed.

5. Phone's connection:

  • Via USB: connect phone to USB port placed on the backside of PC (motherboard's USB port)

Do not connect or disconnect other USB cables into the PC during the actual work with the phone

  • Via COM: use recommended Prolific / FTDI drivers only

6. Avoid using any kind of USB HUBs and long USB cables. Use the shortest-length USB cable available.

7. Phone has stock (factory) firmware version

8. SIM card is removed

We recommend that you buy:

Sigma Pack 1 activation

Sigma Pack 2 activation

Yoda Method via ADB mode (Strongly Recommended!)

  1. Enable USB debugging on the phone.
  2. Root the smartphone.
  3. Select "ADB Android" platform from the tab menu in the upper left side of the software.
  4. Select "Adb interface" in the ports selection tab.
  5. Perform Direct Unlock / Repair IMEI / other service operations.

Generic Method

Get unlock code

  1. Select "MTK" platform from the tab menu in the upper left side of the software
  2. Go to "Unlock" tab
  3. Turn the phone off
  4. Connect turned off phone to PC with USB cable
  5. Install drivers for all devices that will appear in the system; reconnect the smartphone
    • Please make sure that you install appropriate Preloader and CDC port drivers for Alcatel and ZTE smartphones, because they are different
  6. Important: use drivers from Sigma Support Area only!
  7. Select Android Gadget VCOM in the ports selection tab
  8. Press "Get Unlock Codes" button
  9. Message "Reading Unlock Codes… OK" indicates that procedure was completed successfully
  10. Disconnect the handset. Remove and reinstall the battery

For Alcatel smartphones Sigma doesn't show unlock codes. It shows Lock Status and a number of available code entry attempts near each type of code.
Closed lock: active unlock code
Open lock: inactive unlock code

Direct unlock

  1. Select "MTK" platform from the tab menu in the upper left side of the software
  2. Go to "Unlock" tab
  3. Turn the phone off
  4. Connect turned off phone to PC with USB cable
  5. Install drivers for all devices that will appear in the system; reconnect the smartphone
    • Please make sure that you install appropriate Preloader and CDC port drivers for Alcatel and ZTE smartphones, because they are different
  6. Important: use drivers from Sigma Support Area only!
  7. Select Android Gadget VCOM in the ports selection tab
  8. Press "Direct Unlock" button
  9. Message "Unlocking phone... Done" indicates that procedure was completed successfully
  10. Disconnect the handset. Remove and reinstall the battery

Direct Unlock for ZTE Blade Q / Blade Q Mini / Blade Q Maxi / Orange Reyo

  1. Select "MTK" platform from the tab menu in the upper left side of the software
  2. Go to "Unlock" tab
  3. Turn the phone off
  4. Connect turned off phone to PC with USB cable
  5. Install drivers for all devices that will appear in the system; reconnect the smartphone
  6. Important: use drivers from Sigma Support Area only!
  7. Select MTK Preloader* in the ports selection tab
  8. Press "Direct Unlock" button
  9. Message "Unlocking phone... Done" indicates that procedure was completed successfully
  10. Disconnect the handset. Remove and reinstall the battery

* in case "Direct Unlock" or other button is inactive, please choose "MTK Preloader" from the ports selection tab again.

Repair IMEI

This Repair IMEI feature is applicable only for devices with IMEI located in the file system (Software IMEI).

  1. Select "MTK" platform from the tab menu in the upper left side of the software
  2. Go to "IMEI" tab
  3. Turn the phone off
  4. Connect turned off phone to PC with USB cable
  5. Install drivers for all devices that will appear in the system; reconnect the smartphone
  6. Important: use drivers from Sigma Support Area only!
  7. Select Android Gadget VCOM in the ports selection tab
  8. Enter IMEI number in the "Phone IMEI" field
  9. Press "IMEI Repair" button
  10. Message "Done" indicates that procedure was completed successfully
  11. Disconnect the handset. Remove and reinstall the battery

Repair IMEI for ZTE Blade Q / Blade Q Mini / Blade Q Maxi / Orange Reyo

  1. Select "MTK" platform from the tab menu in the upper left side of the software
  2. Go to "IMEI" tab
  3. Turn the phone off
  4. Connect turned off phone to PC with USB cable
  5. Install drivers for all devices that will appear in the system; reconnect the smartphone
  6. Important: use drivers from Sigma Support Area only!
  7. Select MTK Preloader* in the ports selection tab
  8. Enter IMEI number in the "Phone IMEI" field
  9. Press "IMEI Repair" button
  10. Message "Done" indicates that procedure was completed successfully
  11. Disconnect the handset. Remove and reinstall the battery

* in case "IMEI Repair" or other button is inactive, please choose "MTK Preloader" from the ports selection tab again.

Manufacture Mode (Huawei smartphones)

FRP Remove

  • Select "MTK" platform from the tab menu in the upper left side of the software
  • Go to "Service" tab
  • Turn the phone OFF
  • Set the phone to FastBoot mode:
    • press and hold “VOL-“ button and connect the phone to PC, using USB cable (or use any other method)
  • Select “Android ADB interface” port
  • Press “Remove FRP” button
  • The message "Removing FRP lock...OK" indicates that procedure has been completed successfully
  • Disconnect the device

Warning: This feature will erase all phone’s data and accounts

If after FRP removal user data was not wiped automatically, perform this procedure manually in the recovery mode.
